I am Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Bremen. After studying economics in Münster and St. Gallen, I have spent my research career in several different institutions: during my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, at the European University Institute in Florence, at Harvard University’s Center for European Studies, and at the University of Zurich and the University of Geneva. Between 2018 and 2023, I have been member of the Junge Akademie, the German national academy for young academics.
